PASS PLUS
When you've passed your driving test with Acclaim, the next step in enhancing your driving skills is to consider the Pass Plus course.

At the time you passed your driving test you demonstrated to the examiner that you can drive unsupervised on public roads, but that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Your next step is to improve your awareness skills and to also reduce your insurance premium at the same time. When you enroll on our Pass Plus course, we will cover the areas not covered at Learner driver level.

We will take you into the city centre to experience multi lane junctions/bus lanes etc. We also cover all weather aspects where possible (this session will consist of theory as well), rural roads, night driving, dual carriageways and motorway driving. We offer a flexible approach to Pass Plus in that the course can be taken in one day or spread over to sessions.

There is no test on Pass Plus course but your driving instructor has to be satisfied at the end of the course that your standard is a pass. On completion of the course, your instructor will go through the paperwork with you. Before your certificate is issued, signed documents must be to sent to the Driving Standards Agency HQ, who will then send you a certificate.

Remember the Pass Plus course should make you a better driver and help reduce the risk of accidents and reduce your insurance premiums.


STOP PRESS Great news - local councils within our area have been given grants to help encourage you to take Pass Plus (subject to fund available). Once you have completed the course your instructor will ask you to sign a form which is then sent to the local council. Grants do vary from council to council, your instructor will advise you at the time.

MOTORWAY TUITION We offer a planned motorway tuition course which involves all aspects of motorway driving, from planning a route to joining motorways, keeping safe distances, overtaking, leaving motorways and breakdown procedures. The motorway courses are tailored for a minimum of 2 1/2 hours.

REFRESHER LESSONS These lessons are tailor made to your requirements, for example, may be you haven't driven for a while and you need to get back on the road or help with parking issues. Speak to your instructor.
